How to Wirelessly Connect Your Switch Pro Controller to Your Computer.
It's simple to use a Nintendo Switch Pro Controller to play your favorite Steam games. I'll walk you through the setup process for both wired and wireless connections, as well as how to play non-Steam games with a little extra effort.
To establish a wired connection, use a USB-C cable to connect the Pro controller, then select Setting > Devices > Bluetooth and Devices. If nothing appears, try another USB port (ideally USB 2.0 if available) and confirm that USB selective suspend is turned off by opening Control Panel > Power Options > Change plan settings > Advanced settings and setting USB selective suspend to "Disabled" under USB settings. It should automatically install as a "Pro Controller" or gneric HID device. To establish a wireless (Bluetooth) connection, press and hold the controller's sync button next to the charging port until the lights begin to flash. On the PC, navigate to Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Add device > Bluetooth, then choose "Pro Controller" when it appears. Make sure your PC supports Bluetooth LE mode if it connects and disconnects right away or doesn't pair (older dongles don't support it). Go to Control Panel > Power Options > Select what the power buttons do > Change settings that are currently unavailable to turn off fast startup.
